Kuwait Airways has resumed its commercial flights to and from Dhaka via King Fahd International Airport, with operations set to begin on April 24 and services scheduled to run twice weekly, marking a significant step in strengthening regional connectivity and meeting rising passenger demand.

The relaunch of the Dhaka route underscores its strategic importance within the airline’s growing international network, according to Acting Chief Executive Officer Abdulwahab Al Shatti. He noted that the move aligns with the airline’s broader efforts to rebuild and expand its operational footprint following increased travel demand across key markets.

Al Shatti highlighted that Dammam has emerged as a critical transit hub for Kuwait Airways, facilitating smoother connections for passengers traveling across multiple regions. The airline has recently expanded its use of the Saudi airport to operate flights to major global destinations, reinforcing its role in enhancing network efficiency and connectivity.

In recent months, Kuwait Airways has operated flights via Dammam to prominent international cities including London, Cairo, Istanbul, Lahore, Amman, Mumbai and Delhi. These routes form part of a broader strategy to enhance air links between Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

Currently serving 14 destinations, Kuwait Airways is gradually restoring suspended routes while prioritizing operational efficiency and service reliability. The airline aims to scale up its network in line with sustained growth in global travel demand.

In a parallel development, Kuwait Airways has introduced visa application services for Saudi Arabia, available to passengers with confirmed bookings. Airline officials stated that coordination with relevant authorities is ongoing to streamline travel procedures and maintain high safety standards for both passengers and crew.
