Magna AI and Emaar Executive Company (EEC) have entered into a strategic collaboration to support the planning, development and delivery of sovereign AI data centers and AI infrastructure across Saudi Arabia, with potential expansion into wider MENA markets.

The agreement, signed during the Global AI Show Riyadh 2026, aims to develop sovereign AI data centers, AI Factory infrastructure, secure AI platforms and large-scale AI transformation programs to support the Kingdom’s digital transformation agenda.

The framework was formalized by Dr. Moataz BinAli, Chief Executive Officer of Magna AI, and Karthik Ramaswamy, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Executive Company.

The partners said that the collaboration will help strengthen Saudi Arabia’s AI infrastructure by enabling organizations to train, fine-tune, deploy and operate advanced AI models while maintaining control over data, workloads, governance and compliance. The initiative also supports the Kingdom’s focus on AI sovereignty, digital resilience and local data control.

Under the agreement, Magna AI will lead AI Factory architecture, platform development, AI security and governance, while Emaar Executive Company will oversee engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), data center construction, systems integration, project management, facility support and regulatory coordination.

The collaboration will also cover site identification, feasibility studies, energy and cooling optimization, and long-term operations aligned with Saudi data residency and cybersecurity requirements.
