The Saudi Engines Manufacturing Company (Makeen) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with ZF Services Middle East at Makeen’s headquarters in Dhahran.
Under the new agreement, Makeen has been appointed as an authorized partner to provide comprehensive technical support and supply genuine spare parts for ZF’s range of marine gearbox systems.
Additionally, the company will ensure the availability of certified spare parts, significantly cutting lead times and minimizing operational downtime for marine operators across the region, as per the reports.
This partnership is intended to enhance after-sales service capabilities, ensure faster response times, and improve the availability of high-quality components for maritime customers in the region.
Furthermore, this enhances the company’s role in building an integrated marine system in the Kingdom, which contributes to reducing dependence on imports and providing advanced engineering solutions that meet the needs of the local market.
The Chairman of the board of directors of Makeen, Eng. Sulaiman Al-Babtain stated that this partnership represents a strategic expansion for the company.
Eng. Al-Babtain further pointed out that this partnership contributes to the provision and localization of advanced and integrated marine technology solutions in Saudi Arabia.
