Manga Arabia inks licensing agreement with Japan’s HERO’S

Manga Arabia, a subsidiary of the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG), has signed a licensing agreement with leading Japanese manga publisher HERO’S, aiming to broaden the presence of Japanese storytelling throughout the Arab world.

The agreement supports Manga Arabia’s mission to deliver culturally resonant, high-quality content to manga enthusiasts throughout the Arab world.

Through this collaboration, Manga Arabia will license, translate, and publish several prominent Japanese manga titles in Arabic. The agreement includes the rights to Akari, Gin no Kun, and the renowned Grendizer U, a remake of the iconic series created by the renowned Japanese artist Go Nagai.

Originally serialized from October 1975 to May 1976, the classic Grendizer series has achieved widespread popularity across the Arab World, and the official Arabic release of Grendizer U marks a significant milestone for long-time fans of this title.

According to the statement, “This partnership is an extension of Manga Arabia’s commitment to building strategic relationships with leading international players in the manga industry.”

The company continues to grow its presence both regionally and internationally through its flagship publications, Manga Arabia Youth and Manga Arabia Kids, which are available in both digital and print formats. Its digital platforms have achieved significant global traction, with its applications surpassing 12 million downloads across more than 195 countries. Meanwhile, its monthly print circulation exceeds 250,000 copies, reaching readers throughout the Arab world and reinforcing its role as a leading force in Arabic-language manga content.

As part of its international expansion efforts, the company has launched Manga International, headquartered in Tokyo, marking a strategic move to enhance its presence in key global markets.
