Mashreq has launched a new service for its UAE-based Egyptian customers, marking a groundbreaking step in transforming cross-border banking for Egyptians abroad.
This innovative solution allows Egyptian nationals residing in the UAE to instantly open a Mashreq Egypt Account remotely via the the bank’s UAE mobile app, with no paperwork or in-branch visits required.
The bank said in a statement that the eligible customers holding a NEO, Gold, or Private account with Mashreq UAE can now open an account in Egyptian Pound (EGP), US Dollar (USD), or both, in just a few simple steps.
Furthermore, the customers will also benefit from a unified global dashboard within the bank’s UAE mobile app, enabling them to view and manage both their UAE and Egypt account balances in one place with enhanced visibility and control over their cross-border finances.
In addition, once the Mashreq Egypt Account is activated, customers will be able to send money instantly and free of charge using Quick Remit, an exclusive remittance feature available only to Mashreq account holders.
