Oman’s leading conference to explore business-critical needs and disruptive banking innovations, New Age Banking Summit will take place on September 22 at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz Carlton Hotel.
Mr. Tahir Al Amri, Executive President at Central Bank of Oman will be the chief guest and keynote speaker at the sixth edition of the New Age Banking Summit.
The event will highlight the ever-evolving financial ecosystem, especially in this digital age, and how the banks can be future-ready by adopting new policies, innovating products and services.
It will serve as an engaging platform for focusing on new business models in order to make banks more relevant to next-generation clients, as well as empower them to develop new growth routes and improve operational efficiency.
It will feature presentations and discussions involving a cross-section of industry experts from Oman, the rest of the GCC, and international markets on topics such as digital transformation, fintech, AI, intelligent automation, digital payments, crypto eco-system, cybersecurity, digital customer experience, and financial inclusion.
According to the reports, “Supported by Oman Banks Association and attended by industry thought leaders, fintech specialists, finance, insurance, and investment experts, and mid-to-senior level consultants and bankers, the summit is organized by UMS Events, the event specialist division of United Media Services.”
It will be conducted under stringent social distancing guidelines with selected industry leaders attending in person. “The event will cater to a virtual audience of over 200 industry professionals on Zoom and additional viewers watching the live proceedings on YouTube,” as per the statement.
Furthermore, The Oman Banking & Finance Awards, which is powered by Oman Economic Review (OER), will be co-located with the Summit. The awards will honor significant industry individuals, organizations, and products or solutions in the Sultanate that are at the vanguard of new-age financial services.
