Oman Air has signed a strategic agreement with Takaful Oman Insurance SAOG to offer integrated travel insurance solutions to its customers, supporting the airline’s service expansion and Oman Vision 2040 objectives.

Under the partnership, Takaful Oman has been appointed as the airline’s local travel insurance partner. The offering is supported by global travel insurance technology provider Insurte, while ISA Assist serves as the strategic program architect, delivering an integrated solution covering travel insurance, reinsurance, and global medical and travel assistance.

The partnership enables Oman Air passengers to purchase travel insurance seamlessly during the flight booking process, offering a range of coverage options as part of their travel planning.

The agreement also reflects Oman Air’s focus on strengthening In-Country Value (ICV) by increasing collaboration with local companies. The airline stated that its spending on Omani businesses tripled between 2024 and 2025, supporting the country’s broader economic diversification objectives under Oman Vision 2040.

Hamood Al Alawi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, remarked that the partnership enhances the airline’s end-to-end travel experience by providing customers with greater convenience and peace of mind.

Al Alawi added that partnering with Takaful Oman, alongside the global expertise of ISA Assist and the technology platform provided by Insurte, enables the airline to deliver a more integrated and comprehensive service for its passengers.

Neelmani Bhardwaj, Chief Executive Officer of Takaful Oman Insurance SAOG emphasized that the agreement reflects the companies’ shared commitment to delivering customer-focused solutions while strengthening the role of Omani businesses in providing internationally competitive insurance services.

Oman Air remarked that the partnership forms part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the customer experience, broaden its portfolio of travel services, and contribute to the growth of local industries and the wider economy.
