Oman Data Park (ODP), the first International award-winning Managed IT, Hosting, Cloud Services, and Security Services provider in the Sultanate, has launched Amazon Outpost cloud services, in cooperation with Amazon International, one of the largest American companies in the field of cloud services and eCommerce worldwide.

The launching of this new advanced cloud service reaffirms ODP’s efforts to enhance cyber security, facilitate digital transformation processes, and make a quantum leap in the management of applications and data for government agencies and companies and hosting information and data in Oman internally, instead of abroad.

The new cloud service will also help to protect clients in Oman against the various kinds of cybersecurity risks and maintain data security and confidentiality, by hosting data within the country’s borders.

It is also considered an advanced technical initiative that is in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 implementation, which aims at utilizing modern technologies and employing them to serve the economic development in the Sultanate of Oman.

“The Amazon Outpost service is considered as a qualitative shift in the management of the infrastructure for managing applications and data in Oman, and it also contributes to reducing the technical operational costs of government entities and the private companies, compared to traditional systems in managing, operating and securing the applications and data. One of the advantages of the Amazon Outpost service also is that it contributes to accelerating the implementation and management of applications, as well as it works automatically with no need for human cadres in managing its infrastructure system.”

Mr. Al-Wahaibi also stressed that ODP’s keenness to provide its services to the public and private sectors is backed by the confidence of both sectors’ entities in the professionalism of ODP in providing various solutions related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud services, Web hosting, and Cyber Security services, including their Security Operations Center services (SOC) and Network Operations Center services (NOC) which are operated 24×7.
