Oman Data Park (ODP), the Sultanate’s leading provider of managed services and cloud solutions, has launched the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Secondary Dedicated Region in Wilayat Ibri.
This milestone, achieved in partnership with ITHCA Group and Oracle, marks a major step in Oman’s digital transformation and reinforces its position as a regional cloud technology leader.
The new Ibri region mirrors the OCI Primary Dedicated Region in Muscat, connected by redundant 10Gbps high-speed, low-latency links.
This dual-region setup offers exceptional reliability, performance, and security, enabling enterprises and government entities to implement strong business continuity and disaster recovery without compromising compliance or speed.
Providing access to over 200 Oracle Cloud services, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, and Software-as-a-Service offerings, the region helps organizations build and scale critical applications. Oman Data Park ensures data sovereignty and regulatory compliance by keeping data within Oman, empowering businesses to leverage AI, machine learning, and data analytics effectively.
The launch supports Oman Vision 2040’s goals of economic diversification and innovation. By expanding world-class cloud infrastructure, ODP enables enterprises, governments, and SMEs to innovate securely and efficiently.
