Oman to host International Occupational Health Summit 2024

The Sultanate of Oman will host the first edition of the International Occupational Health Summit (iOHS 2024) from 4th to 7th February 2024 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The summit, themed “Towards Sustainable Health Excellence at the Workplace”, is organized by Oman Energy Association (OPAL) in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, government departments, and private sector companies.

According to the statement, the event will bring together policy makers, thought leaders, industry leaders, international experts, management representatives, health, wellness, and associated professionals from a wide spectrum of national, regional, and global industries, government, and the holistic community.

iOHS 2024 program will feature top experts in their respective fields as faculty members and will excel in comprehensively addressing a wide range of pertinent subjects.

Mr. Abdulrahman Humaid Al Yahya’ee, CEO of OPAL, said that the summit will deal with local, regional, and global occupational health standards, with special emphasis on effective management of workers’ welfare.

The summit will also organize a forum for leaders in the sector, physicians, professionals, academics, consultants, students, and relevant parties. The event aims to create a global platform for Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene in the Sultanate of Oman to showcase Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene Global Standards and Culture, Best Practices, Innovation, and Technology.

Mr. Al Yahya’ee stated that, “The summit will highlight Oman’s efforts to adopt world-class occupational health standards and practices in various industry sectors. Further, the event is expected to draw a large turnout of local, regional, and international speakers, experts, specialists, and academics.”
