Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines have expanded their strategic partnership to enhance network connectivity and improve travel access across key international and domestic routes, offering passengers access to more than 40 destinations.
Starting 1 June 2026, Philippine Airlines will place its ‘PR’ code on Qatar Airways-operated flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to Doha.
Through this arrangement, passengers will be able to connect via Hamad International Airport to more than 20 major European destinations, including Paris, Rome, and Frankfurt.
In return, Qatar Airways will place its ‘QR’ code on select Philippine Airlines domestic routes, enabling smoother onward connections within the Philippines.
Travelers arriving in Manila and Cebu will gain improved access to key leisure destinations, including Caticlan and Puerto Princesa.
Expanded codeshare network
The enhanced codeshare agreement is designed to streamline connectivity between the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia while improving travel convenience for passengers on both airlines.
Under the arrangement, passengers will benefit from coordinated schedules, simplified bookings, and broader network access across both carriers’ route systems.
Loyalty program integration
As part of the expanded cooperation, Qatar Airways’ loyalty program, Privilege Club, has partnered with Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Miles to extend reciprocal benefits for members.
The development marks Privilege Club’s 26th airline partnership and further strengthens its presence in Southeast Asia’s aviation market.
Qatar Airways, which was named the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax in 2025, also received Platinum recognition from Cirium this year for its operational reliability and performance standards.
The recognition highlights the airline’s focus on maintaining consistent service delivery and operational efficiency across its global network.
Philippine Airlines has also been recognized by Cirium as Asia-Pacific’s Most Punctual Airline for 2025. The airline continues to invest in network optimization and fleet readiness to enhance reliability and service consistency across its operations.
