Qatar Chamber (QC) has taken part in a Qatari investment delegation’s visit to Oklahoma City, USA, which focused on economic and cultural cooperation between Qatar and the United States.
Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, Director of the Legal Affairs Department, represented Qatar Chamber and presented a working paper at an economic roundtable session, highlighting trade and investment partnerships between the two countries.
Al Kuwari stressed that the technology sector is a top priority for cooperation, as it plays a key role in driving growth across industries such as financial services, industry, agriculture, logistics, and transportation.
The director also emphasized that in 2015, Qatar Chamber signed an MoU with the US Chamber of Commerce, aimed at bolstering business cooperation. Under this initiative, the Joint Business Council was established to facilitate trade and investment between the two countries.
The Council has carried out various activities to provide insights into economic, trade, and investment opportunities, culminating in the introduction of the US-Qatar Business Portal, which provides up-to-date information on both economies.
Furthermore, Al Kuwari highlighted that Qatar Chamber had signed another MoU with the Arab American Chamber of Commerce focused on strengthening collaboration between business owners in both regions. The director also underscored that the US is one of Qatar’s most significant trading partners.
Al Kuwari outlined Qatar’s ongoing efforts in developing its technology infrastructure, highlighting the country’s vision to emerge as a regional hub for technological innovation in the Middle East region.
