The Qatar Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced that the temporary extension granted for all types of expired or soon-to-expire entry visas will officially end on 7 June 2026, marking a return to standard immigration procedures across the country.

The ministry said that the extension, which had been introduced earlier on 3 March 2026, was part of exceptional measures aimed at facilitating visa holders during a transitional period.

The Qatar MoI clarified that from the said date, normal procedures governing entry visas will resume in full. This includes the application of standard validity periods, renewal requirements, and prescribed fees for all visa categories.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior emphasized that these measures are intended to ensure orderly compliance with immigration laws and to prevent any violations that could arise from overstaying or invalid documentation.

According to the statement, all residents, visitors, and relevant parties must ensure their legal status in the country remains valid. This includes renewing visas within the prescribed deadlines, paying any applicable fees, or departing the country promptly upon the expiration of their visas, in order to comply with immigration regulations and avoid potential penalties.

The Qatar MoI further warned that failure to comply with visa regulations may result in legal consequences, including financial penalties, fines for overstaying, and other administrative actions as stipulated under law. Authorities underscored that enforcement measures will be applied in accordance with established procedures to ensure full compliance and uphold the integrity of the country’s immigration system.
