A high level delegation from Qatar’s Ministry of Labor (MOL) has concluded a productive two-day visit to the Sultanate of Oman, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the labor sector.

The visit focused on enhancing coordination between the two nations and setting the stage for the 2025–2027 executive program for labor-related cooperation. This strategic dialogue aims to address key aspects of workforce empowerment, labor market integration, and the sharing of expertise in the field.

The Qatari delegation, led by Khames Mohammed Al Naimi, the Assistant Undersecretary for National Manpower Affairs in the Private Sector, and Hamad Faraj Dalmouk, the Assistant Undersecretary for Migrant Labor Affairs at MOL, engaged in a series of high-level discussions.

The meetings, held with senior officials from Oman’s Ministry of Labor, were attended by representatives from multiple directorates, labor and human resource development sectors, as well as key professional associations.

During the visit, the two sides discussed the specifics of the proposed executive program, which outlines a broad array of cooperation initiatives. Among the key areas of focus are the exchange of professional knowledge, labor market studies, and joint research efforts aimed at furthering workforce empowerment in both countries.

In addition to workforce training, the program envisions the organization of various events, exhibitions, and workshops, which will be designed to address shared labor market challenges and opportunities. These activities will provide platforms for both nations to collaborate on issues such as workforce development, skills enhancement, and the adoption of best practices in human resource management.

The proposed initiatives also include launching professional training modules focused on enhancing national competencies, which will play a crucial role in preparing a skilled and adaptable workforce ready for integration into the evolving labor markets of both Qatar and Oman.

The visit highlighted the strong relationship between the two countries, with both Qatar and Oman expressing their commitment to deepening ties and working collaboratively on labor-related issues to ensure mutual prosperity and sustainable development.
