Qatar-based Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint venture between Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Silatech is partnering with renowned retail chain Lulu Hypermarket to support entrepreneurs.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by all parties strives to provide an ideal platform for entrepreneurs to display their products at Lulu Group’s retail outlets for a specified period through free spaces designated for this purpose.

Under the agreement, local entrepreneurs-owned startups and small enterprises will be able to expand their businesses in Qatar by targeting a diverse customer base by showcasing their products at Lulu Hypermarket. This initiative will help to highlight the excellent quality of the products and their ability to compete in the local market. Registration for participation in this project will be open soon for entrepreneurs.

Commenting on the agreement, Mr. Hamad al-Qahtani, general manager of Bedaya Centre, stated that “This initiative is in line with Bedaya’s continuous efforts to support entrepreneurs and motivate their role in society.

“During previous years, we successfully joined hands with LuLu Hypermarket Group in supporting startups and SME owners, and today we are witnessing the signing of a new MoU that will stimulate and boost their business, emphasize the quality of their products, and enhance their pioneering role in society by enabling them to expand their customer base and achieve a wider spread of their projects,” Mr. Al-Qahtani added.

Meanwhile, Mr. Shaijan M O, Regional Director of LuLu Hypermarket, remarked that “The signing of the MoU is the culmination of joint efforts with Bedaya Centre with the aim of nurturing Qatari small enterprises and startups by opening new horizons for a large number of entrepreneurs who benefit from the centre’s support.”

“Qatari products have proven their quality in terms of high merit and competitive prices, and in the coming days, we will witness a greater presence of these projects and their related goods in one of the largest retail outlets in Qatar,” Mr. Shaijan M O added.
