Qatar’s Minister of Transport and Communications HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti has launched the TASMU platform, which is designed to accelerate the achievement of all the pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

The TASMU platform aims to transform Qatar into a smart nation by leveraging advanced technology and innovation to offer smart solutions and applications in five key areas, such as transportation, healthcare, logistics, the environment, and sports.

It can be accessed from anywhere and at any time and is based on Azure Cloud, offering myriad Software-as Service, Platform-as Service, and Infrastructure-as Service capabilities. Further, TASMU would encourage both the public and commercial sectors to adopt ICT, boosting economic competitiveness and allowing non-oil and gas GDP to increase significantly.

The platform, which is one of the most innovative cloud-based smart city solutions with world-class artificial intelligence, big data, and cybersecurity capabilities, was developed in conjunction with an international consortium led by Ooredoo.”

“The platform has been designed to create and foster an enabling digital environment by powering and linking all sectors, smart solutions, and digital services in Qatar to drive sustainable economic diversification, address key national challenges and support decision making, innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and businesses,” according to the reports.
