Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, has emphasized the critical role of scientific research in fostering a sustainable economy and enhancing the Emirates’ innovation ecosystem.
During a dialogue session at TRENDS Research & Advisory, the minister highlighted the importance of education and development in empowering youth to become future leaders.
TRENDS Research & Advisory is a leading research organization based in the UAE that specializes in providing cutting-edge studies and insights to support decision-makers, policymakers, and academics. The organization focuses on offering forward-looking, scientific research and analyses across a wide range of sectors, including economics, foreign trade, innovation, and sustainability.
The session, which was attended by researchers from TRENDS, explored opportunities for cooperation, the role of research in supporting economic development, and enhancing the UAE’s global competitiveness.
At the beginning of the session, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, welcomed HE Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi and commended his contributions to advancing foreign trade and innovation.
The CEO also gave an overview of TRENDS, describing it as a premier research platform that provides scientific, forward-thinking studies to support policymakers, academics, and decision-makers across various fields.
During the discussion, Dr. Al-Zeyoudi explored ways to strengthen partnerships between research institutions and government entities, stressing that innovation and continuous training are fundamental to achieving the UAE’s vision for the future. The UAE Minister also underscored the importance of knowledge exchange and expertise-sharing to ensure sustained progress and leadership across sectors.
At the end of the visit, the UAE Minister expressed his gratitude for TRENDS’ role in delivering cutting-edge research and studies that align with global transformations. Furthermore, Dr. Al Zeyoudi reiterated his support for the center’s initiatives in advancing scientific research and innovation as essential pillars of sustainable development.
