Rowad Modern Engineering (RME) has commenced the development and expansion of the facilities of Saudi Logistics Services Company (SAL) at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

Serving as the general contractor, the firm will oversee all project phases, ensuring execution in line with the highest technical, engineering, and sustainability standards, targeting LEED Gold certification.

The project aims to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s cargo and logistics capabilities through a combination of infrastructure rehabilitation and the construction of new supporting facilities.

The scope of work emphasizes modernizing architectural and engineering systems, improving operational performance, and enhancing efficiency while embedding sustainable practices throughout the design and construction process.

The implementation strategy ensures flexible operational readiness, allowing the airport to maintain uninterrupted services during construction while meeting both current and future logistical demands.
