Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) and flynas, the Kingdom’s leading low-cost airline, have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at delivering a seamless and fully integrated travel experience.
The collaboration introduces a unified booking platform that allows passengers to conveniently plan and reserve journeys that combine domestic flights with the Haramain High-Speed Railway, all in a single transaction.
This initiative represents a significant step toward digital transformation in Saudi Arabia’s transport sector. By bridging air and rail networks, the partnership enhances traveler convenience, reduces booking complexity, and encourages the use of sustainable transport options across the Kingdom.
Launched at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, the partnership will allow passengers to book both flight and train tickets through a single platform, aiming to simplify travel procedures, integrate air and rail transport, enhance planning efficiency, and improve customer value for both entities.
According to the reports, the integration will also support broader national objectives under Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to modernize the country’s infrastructure, diversify its economy, and promote tourism. With easier access to key destinations such as Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah, and King Abdullah Economic City, the SAR-flynas collaboration will improve mobility for both residents and international visitors.
SAR, a major rail operator in the MENA region, manages an extensive national network of over 5,500 kilometers, including the Haramain High-Speed Railway, the fastest in the Middle East at 300 kilometers per hour. The railway offers rapid and advanced travel between Makkah and Madinah in around two hours, connecting key cities such as Jeddah and its airport.
