Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) has launched a naming rights and sponsorship initiative for Haramain High-Speed Railway stations to support private-sector investment opportunities across the railway network.
The initiative covers the Haramain railway stations in Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah (Sulaimaniyah), and King Abdullah Economic City and is aimed at enhancing commercial partnerships, improving asset utilization, and expanding branding opportunities within high-traffic transportation hubs.
SAR stated that the project is designed to create additional commercial value by allowing companies and brands to secure naming rights and sponsorship opportunities at the stations, which serve millions of passengers annually, including pilgrims and Umrah performers traveling between the holy cities.
The initiative also seeks to improve the passenger experience through the development of station environments and the introduction of expanded commercial and service offerings.
SAR noted that the stations represent strategic marketing locations due to their operational scale, passenger density, and connectivity across key regions of the Kingdom.
Through the project, private sector companies will have the opportunity to increase brand visibility and strengthen market presence while contributing to the enhancement of transport infrastructure services. Interested investors and companies will be able to apply for the opportunities through SAR’s official channels.
The Haramain High-Speed Railway is considered one of the region’s most advanced transportation projects and ranks among the world’s fastest electric train networks, operating at speeds of up to 300 kilometers per hour.
The railway operates with a fleet of 35 trains connecting Makkah and Madinah through stations in Jeddah (Sulaimaniyah), King Abdulaziz International Airport, and King Abdullah Economic City.
The network plays a significant role in facilitating passenger movement and supporting religious tourism and transportation services in the Kingdom.
The naming rights initiative aligns with broader efforts to increase private sector participation in infrastructure-related projects and diversify commercial investment opportunities within Saudi Arabia’s transport and logistics sector.
