Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has signed a landmark agreement with Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) to integrate their digital systems, enabling passengers to issue boarding passes for both air and rail journeys in a single transaction.
The collaboration is designed to simplify travel procedures and enhance connectivity between air and rail journeys, improving the overall guest experience while reducing time and effort.
The signing was formalized by Essam Akhonbay, Vice President of Marketing at Saudia, and Engr. Ibrahim AlNoaman, Commercial Director of the Haramain High-Speed Railway (HHR) and the Masar Makkah Master Plan (MMMP), during the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum 2026 in Madinah.
This initiative builds on previous partnerships between Saudia and SAR, including joint programs offering special fares for train travel to Makkah and Madinah, reflecting a

Saudia continues to enhance passenger experiences across all journey stages through advanced digital services powered by artificial intelligence, offering personalized travel solutions.
Enhancements extend to ground and inflight services, including state-of-the-art entertainment systems and high-speed inflight connectivity, ensuring a smooth and enriching journey.
The Haramain High-Speed Railway is one of the ten fastest trains globally, operating at speeds of up to 300 km/h.
It connects Makkah and Madinah through five major stations, including King Abdulaziz International Airport Station, one of the largest airport-connected railway stations worldwide.
The new integration strengthens Saudi Arabia’s transport ecosystem, enabling efficient, seamless movement across multiple modes of travel.
