Saudi Arabia and Egypt have signed an agreement on mutual exemption from short-stay visas for holders of diplomatic and special passports between the governments.
The agreement was signed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty.
This came on the sidelines of the foreign minister’s participation in the consultative ministerial meeting held in Riyadh, the Saudi capital.
According to the statement, “The initiatives reflect the broader goal of improving bilateral ties and ensuring that both countries continue to work in tandem toward shared regional and global objectives.”
The agreement highlights the deep and robust fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, underscoring the strong commitment of both nations to further enhance and strengthen their bilateral relationship.

As per the reports, the agreement is designed to ease travel for nationals of both countries holding diplomatic or special passports, streamlining the execution of official duties. It aims to strengthen institutional ties and foster closer coordination between Cairo and Riyadh, further enhancing bilateral cooperation.
