The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Federative Republic of Brazil have signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of the digital economy and emerging technologies.

The agreement also includes provisions to support joint investments in innovation and technological development between the two nations.

The Saudi Arabia–Brazil digital economy partnership represents a strategic collaboration aimed at fostering innovation, technological development, and sustainable digital growth between the two countries.

It was signed by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha and Brazilian Minister of Communications Frederico de Siqueira Filho. The signing took place during the G20 Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting, which was chaired by South Africa.

As part of efforts to strengthen international partnerships, Minister Abdullah Alswaha held a series of high-level bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the partnership agreement signing.

According to the reports, It reflects a mutual commitment to accelerating digital transformation, enhancing economic diversification, and building resilient technology ecosystems. The partnership supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals and positions both nations to play a more prominent role in shaping the global digital economy through shared expertise, innovation-driven initiatives, and collaborative policy frameworks.

During his meeting with the Brazilian Minister, the two sides explored opportunities for collaboration in research and development across a range of modern technologies. The discussions emphasized initiatives that will drive innovation, foster digital transformation, and enhance sustainable economic growth in both Saudi Arabia and Brazil.

In a separate meeting, Minister Abdullah Alswaha also held talks with Li Lecheng, Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, to explore opportunities for strengthening the digital economy partnership between Saudi Arabia and China.
