Bahrain’s Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadhel Al Ibrahim, have co-chaired a virtual meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Committee on Economy, Energy, Trade and Industry.

The meeting, held via video conference, is a part of the broader efforts of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which comprises five joint committees aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two kingdoms.

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted the deep historical ties and strong bonds between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. He described their relationship as a distinguished model built on solid foundations of cooperation and joint work across various domains.

He noted on the ongoing development and growth in the relations between the two kingdoms, attributing this development to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Enhanced Bilateral Relations

The Bahrain minister also emphasized the key role of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa added that the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council enhances strategic partnerships and drives bilateral cooperation across various sectors towards broader horizons, fulfilling the aspirations of both kingdoms and people.

Key role of Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council

During the meeting, both sides reviewed progress on several initiatives and recommendations outlined in the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination committee’s work plan. The ministers assessed the performance of joint working groups tasked with advancing economic cooperation and achieving the Council’s strategic objectives.

Developmental Vision

Discussions also covered a range of topics of mutual interest, reflecting the shared developmental vision of both nations. These efforts are geared toward enhancing sustainable development and economic integration between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Committee’s work is viewed as a key mechanism for translating the Council’s strategic goals into actionable plans, supporting long-term growth and cooperation across critical sectors such as energy, trade, and industry. The meeting highlighted the commitment of both countries to reinforcing their strategic alliance and aligning their economic initiatives in line with national and regional development goals.
