Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), has signed a new air transport services agreement with the Republic of Serbia, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in aviation and expanding international connectivity.

The agreement, signed with Serbia’s Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, sets forth a comprehensive regulatory framework for air transport between the two countries. It emphasizes mutual respect and adherence to the laws and regulations of both nations, reflecting a shared commitment to safe and sustainable aviation development.

The agreement aligns with the Kingdom’s national civil aviation strategy, which aims to forge international partnerships, expand the global reach of Saudi airlines, and position Saudi Arabia as a global aviation hub.

In a separate development, GACA also conducted a successful round of bilateral discussions with its counterpart in the Republic of Indonesia, resulting in the signing of a record of discussions outlining an updated operational framework for air services between the two nations.

This updated framework is designed to enhance the passenger experience and streamline air transport procedures, supporting the Kingdom’s broader goals of improving service quality and boosting international travel connectivity.

Both agreements underscore GACA’s continued commitment to advancing the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by fostering global connectivity, boosting the international competitiveness of the Kingdom’s aviation sector, and reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a pivotal hub in global air transport.

“By expanding bilateral cooperation and modernizing regulatory frameworks, GACA is paving the way for increased passenger traffic, enhanced airline operations, and stronger economic integration with key global markets,” as per the reports.
