Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, has met with Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany, Katherina Reiche, at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh to discuss bilateral cooperation and potential avenues for strategic collaboration.

During the meeting, Saudi Arabia and Germany explored ways to further strengthen their economic ties and examined new opportunities for investment partnerships, particularly in the industrial and mining sectors, with a focus on fostering sustainable growth and mutual benefits for both countries.

Saudi Minister Alkhorayef reviewed the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy and the wide range of promising investment opportunities it offers across priority industrial sectors, highlighting the strategy’s role in driving industrial growth, diversification, and long-term economic development in the Kingdom.

Alkhorayef highlighted the significant transformation and development currently underway in Saudi Arabia’s mining sector, which is creating unique and attractive investment opportunities for global companies across all stages of mining operations.

The minister also outlined the Kingdom’s strategic advantages and the competitive features of its investment environment, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s position as a promising global investment hub.

These advantages include its strategic geographic location linking three continents, as well as the incentives and enablers offered by the Kingdom’s industrial and mining ecosystem to streamline and support the investment journey for both local and international investors, he noted.

In addition, Saudi Arabia and Germany discussed ways to enhance cooperation in advanced manufacturing and in developing and strengthening human capital within the industrial and mining sectors, with a focus on equipping the workforce with high-level skills aligned with global best practices.
