The Saudi Logistics Academy (SLA) has entered into a strategic partnership with Germany-based Kühne Logistics University (KLU) in order to strengthen collaboration in key areas of logistics and supply chain management.
The agreement focuses on the development and delivery of advanced, high-quality training programs aimed at equipping professionals with the skills needed to meet the sector’s evolving demands.
It also emphasizes the exchange of global best practices, with a particular focus on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to drive innovation and efficiency within the logistics sector, as per the statement.
These initiatives are anticipated to significantly boost the capabilities of the nation’s workforce, equipping them with the skills needed to adapt to the rapidly evolving demands of the transportation and logistics sector, thereby improving overall efficiency and readiness.
According to the statement, this partnership is in perfect alignment with the academy’s vision of creating a comprehensive training system that focuses on knowledge transfer and the localization of expertise, all while staying in step with the ongoing digital and technological advancements shaping the industry.
Earlier this year, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the Saudi Logistics Academy to enhance collaboration in the training and qualification of national cadres.
The partnership aims to build specialized human capital in fields shared by both organizations, fostering a sustainable local labor market and supporting job creation in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
