Saudi Arabia’s Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), an entity established to make Diriyah one of the world’s great gathering places has been implementing large and diverse projects to sustain its position as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

A symbol of the national unity rooted in Saudi Arabia’s longstanding history and a key foundation of the cultural components that help shape the Saudi future, Diriyah, a $17 billion development project, is one of the Kingdom’s most significant historical pillars. It preserves the Kingdom’s historical heritage of over 300 years through an exciting and inspiring experience combining culture, shopping, and leisure for residents, tourists, and visitors.

Mr. Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of DGDA, stated that the Authority strives to increase the nation’s GDP and develop its local content, in addition to providing job opportunities for Saudis, following the Saudi Vision 2030.

DGDA has followed the best international and regional practices in improving its internal operations, including, financing, procurement, project management, spending efficiency, procedures, automation, municipal services, operations, and asset and facility management.

The Authority’s policies and procedures are designed to avoid redundancy and overlap while preserving quality and efficiency. It has achieved extraordinary performance levels as a result of this methodology, reinforcing its commitment to constant development.

Further, DGDA includes a strategy for achieving the most efficient financial standards possible. It has been identifying the best available opportunities and means of cooperation in direct coordination with relevant entities, as well as empowering its leaders to put the strategy into action.

The efforts of the Authority were rewarded with the Institutional Excellence Award in the government authorities category, defeating 400 other organizations. Despite the Authority’s recent establishment, this achievement demonstrates its institutional excellence in establishing the world’s largest history and culture destination in accordance with the best local and international standards and techniques.

Once completed, the Diriyah Gate Development Project will be an international culture and heritage destination, consisting of a set of cultural, leisure, commercial, hotel, educational, institutional, and residential areas, and a diverse range of museums and historical institutions, as well as commercial markets.
