National Investments Company (NIC) has been named Best Investment Bank in Kuwait for Equity Capital Markets 2026 by Euromoney, marking the third consecutive year the company has received the recognition in the Euromoney Awards for Excellence.

The award recognizes NIC’s role in providing investment banking and financial services, including managing public offerings and executing investment transactions that support the development of Kuwait’s capital market.

Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence are based on quantitative and qualitative criteria, including innovation, service quality, institutional performance, expert assessments, reports and research. The awards are among the financial sector’s most established global recognitions, drawing on more than 50 years of experience.

Commenting on the recognition, Bashar Khan, Managing Director of the Alternatives and Investment Banking Division at NIC, said that, “This recognition reflects the continued strength of NIC’s Investment Banking platform and the depth of our Equity Capital Markets expertise. We remain committed to advising issuers through strategically structured offerings, disciplined price discovery and effective investor engagement, while upholding high execution standards that contribute to successful market outcomes.”

NIC pointed out that it has executed several landmark transactions with a combined value exceeding several billion US dollars. The company strengthened its presence in Kuwait’s major initial public offerings by supporting transactions from structuring and regulatory coordination to subscription management, allocation and listing.

Among the transactions was the initial public offering of Action Energy Company, which achieved subscription coverage of 5.0 times the offering size and generated total demand of $900 million.

The offering attracted participation from local and international institutional investors, including investors from the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, reflecting interest in Kuwait’s capital market. Action Energy Company was listed on Boursa Kuwait on December 17, 2025, with its share price gaining about 13 percent over 10 trading sessions by the end of 2025.

Khan further explained that NIC, through its various Equity Capital Markets transactions, has been committed to raising execution standards in the market by applying more professional pricing mechanisms and organizing in-depth introductory sessions for investors. These practices contribute to enhancing transparency, improving the quality of engagement between issuing companies and investors and achieving more efficient subscription outcomes.

The company said that it manages complex transactions involving regulators, legal advisers, auditors, issuers and market participants while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and approved timelines.

Khan also noted that NIC continues to strengthen its presence in Equity Capital Markets through a diverse range of future transactions across key growth sectors, including retail, consumer, education and technology, in addition to advisory services related to capital increases in the transportation and real estate sectors.
