Gulf Bank has introduced ‘red’y to impress,’ a new program that combines its red youth banking proposition with the Gulf Points loyalty program to offer banking services, rewards, and financial benefits for students and young customers.

The program supports young customers at different stages of their financial journey by providing banking products, rewards, and financial planning tools linked to student allowances, prepaid cards, and salary accounts.

Under the program, customers who transfer their student allowance to Gulf Bank and obtain a Red Plus prepaid card will receive the card free of charge for five years, together with 20,000 Gulf Points, equivalent to $196 (KD60), a $33 (KD10) Trolley voucher, and additional offers from Trolley and Oula.

Existing red customers who apply for a red Plus prepaid card will receive 5,000 Gulf Points, a 50 percent discount on two cinema tickets daily at VOX Cinemas and Cinescape, and, from August, a 50 percent discount on Talabat orders every Monday.

The program also extends beyond graduation. Customers whose graduation allowance is credited to their account will receive 5,000 Gulf Points, followed by an additional 20,000 points when they convert their red account into a salary account and obtain a Gulf Bank credit card.

To mark the launch, Gulf Bank organized a promotional activation at Khiran Mall, featuring product information, competitions, entertainment activities, a photo area, and prize draws. The event also included a financial awareness section highlighting fraud prevention as part of the ‘Let’s Be Aware’ banking awareness campaign.

The red Plus prepaid card, which was added to the Gulf Points program last year, allows customers to earn five points for every $3.2 (KD1) spent in Kuwait and 10 points for every KD1, or its foreign currency equivalent, spent internationally.

Gulf Bank stated that Gulf Points enable customers to redeem rewards through its mobile application, including cashback, travel bookings, hotel stays, car rentals, an online rewards store, and point transfers.
