The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has concluded the 20252026 edition of Sharjah Shopping Promotions after 46 days of activities aimed at boosting retail performance and tourism across the emirate.

Launched in early December 2025, the Sharjah Shopping Promotions campaign has brought together major shopping malls and thousands of retail outlets across Sharjah City and the Central and Eastern Regions. It offered discounts of up to 75 percent, distributed valuable gifts, and awarded a prize pool worth $1.09 million (AED 4 million) to more than 800 winners, reinforcing Sharjah’s position as a leading regional shopping destination.

The promotions concluded with a grand raffle draw at Sharjah Central, where ten winners received a total of $27,229 (AED 100,000) during an official ceremony attended by SCCI officials and key retail stakeholders. The event drew strong public turnout from residents and visitors alike, reflecting high engagement with the winter and year-end shopping season.

The Sharjah Shopping Promotions 2025-2026 campaign has generated positive economic returns, including growth in retail sales and increased tourism momentum. These results align with the Chamber’s strategy to support the local economy through targeted marketing initiatives featuring major discounts on a wide range of local and international brands.

HE Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, said that the retail sector remains a core pillar of Sharjah’s economic diversification agenda. He noted that the ‘Sharjah Shopping Promotions’ campaigns form part of a comprehensive vision to increase the sector’s contribution to the emirate’s GDP, adding that Sharjah’s retail sector includes thousands of commercial establishments and provides tens of thousands of jobs. Al Awadi added that the Chamber’s integrated strategy links commercial activity with tourism growth while supporting productive families and local farmers.

Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI, explained that this season of Sharjah Shopping Promotions has recorded higher-than-expected visitor turnout, with malls and shopping centers maintaining strong footfall, particularly on weekends. He highlighted the role of partnerships with the Sharjah District Affairs Department and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority in expanding the campaign’s reach and economic impact.

Jamal Saeed Bouzanjal, Director of the Corporate Communication Department at SCCI, noted that the Sharjah Shopping Promotions campaign has achieved a qualitative upgrade in event delivery, with diversified entertainment programs tailored to different demographics. He noted strong audience and retailer satisfaction, supporting SCCI’s objective of enhancing customer experience.

Sharjah Shopping Promotions 2025-26 highlights

The Sharjah Shopping Promotions 2025-26 featured innovative initiatives, including the Wall of Lockers event introduced under the theme Discover What’s Behind the Lock, offering instant prizes such as electronics, shopping vouchers, and cash rewards.

SCCI also extended the campaign to community and heritage events, including the Dawahi Festival and the 8th Al Bataeh Heritage Festival, as well as activities in Kalba supporting national products and local farmers. Retailers praised the campaign’s organization and marketing impact, citing direct improvements in sales and revenues during the December–January period.
