Sultan Al-Marshad, CEO of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), and Eng. Abdulrahman Althukair, CEO of Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports), have signed a development memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The agreement was signed in the presence of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, on the sidelines of the Made in Saudi Expo 2025 held in Riyadh.
The Saudi Exports-SFD MoU aims to enhance strategic cooperation and the seamless exchange of valuable expertise and specialized knowledge between the two prominent sides.
It also actively strengthens Saudi non-oil exports by strategically aligning the diverse opportunities offered by the SFD with the robust capabilities of innovative national companies actively participating in key development projects and comprehensive programs financed by the fund across developing countries worldwide.
The MoU effectively helps achieve shared, ambitious long-term goals, actively promote high-quality local content development, and create vital, transformative opportunities for sustainable international development initiatives worldwide.
For over 50 years, the SFD has provided financing for more than 800 development projects and programs across various sectors in over 100 developing countries, with a total value exceeding $22 billion, contributing to social growth and economic prosperity in the beneficiary nations.
Made in Saudi Expo 2025
The Made in Saudi Expo 2025 was held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham. The Saudi Exports, through its Made in Saudi program, concluded the expo’s third edition. The event saw wide participation from government and private entities, alongside leading national manufacturers and industry leaders.
The expo saw the signing of more than 100 agreements and memoranda of understanding between government entities and local and international companies, underlining the industrial sector’s momentum and strengthening opportunities for commercial partnerships.
