Sharjah Ruwad, SEC unveil 7th edition of ‘Business Stars’ initiative

Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation (Ruwad), a financial and technical support provider to the region’s Small and Medium-size Enterprises (SMEs), affiliated to Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), has launched the seventh edition of its community initiative, Business Stars.

The ‘Business Stars’ initiative is held at Kashisha Park in Al Rahmaniyah in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the support and strategic partnership of the Sharjah Education Council (SEC).

The initiative aims to motivate and involve Emirati school and university students of both sexes, between the ages of 10 and 21, to develop their innovative talents and skills, as well as expose them to the worlds of business and encourage them to participate in business investments.

“The initiative is organized in two phases. The first phase, which started, on December 17th, and will continue until December 20, is dedicated to the participation of primary and middle school students, with 49 male and female students participating in it through 20 different projects. The second phase will start on December 21st until December 25th, targeting high school and university students in the UAE.”

Mr. Al Mahmoud affirmed Ruwad’s keenness to enhance its efforts in preparing and pushing the young generation of entrepreneurs, developing their pioneering behavior and spreading a culture of initiative and innovation among them.

Since the launch of the Business Stars initiative in 2014, Ruwad Establishment has strived to develop and activate it among school and university students with a view to keep up with the world’s economic changes and reflecting the wise leadership’s policy and vision for preparing generations capable of dealing with these changes in a professional manner.
