Spinneys Dubai adds Saudi Arabia to its supermarket chain amid expansion

Spinneys Dubai, one of the Middle East’s leading supermarket chains, and Abdulmohsen Al Hokair Holding Group have partnered to establish the Spinneys brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The first Spinneys store in Saudi Arabia is expected to open in the first quarter of 2023. The partnership comes amid when Saudi Arabia is rapidly developing and opening up its commercial sectors.

The initial focus will be in the city of Riyadh, with further plans to open stores in more cities in the coming years. Spinneys recently acquired the Souk Planet stores in Abu Dhabi in the last quarter of 2021, reflecting its ambitions to expand its geographical footprint within the Middle East.

Abdulmohsen Al Hokair Holding Group was founded in Saudi Arabia in 1975. The company and its subsidiaries are principally involved in entertainment centers, hospitality, and retail.
