Saudi Venture Capital (SVC) has announced its investment in the Growth Catalyst Fund, a private equity fund managed by the CMA-licensed Growth Catalyst Investment Company.

This strategic move marks a significant step in SVC’s efforts to support innovative and high-growth businesses in Saudi Arabia.

Growth Catalyst Fund focuses on growth and expansion

According to a press release, the Growth Catalyst Fund focuses on investing in companies at the growth and expansion stages across Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC region. With a strategic emphasis on fostering sustainable growth, the fund aims to provide not only capital but also critical operational expertise. This combination will help businesses enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and strengthen their competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic market.

By supporting companies at pivotal stages of their development, the fund seeks to drive long-term success and innovation across key industries in the region. It focuses on key sectors, including healthcare, education, consumer, defense industries, environment and renewable energy, as well as food and beverage, targeting opportunities with strong growth potential and innovative capabilities.

Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer at SVC, Nora Alsarhan, stated that, “The investment in Growth Catalyst Fund reflects SVC’s continued role in deepening the private equity market in the Kingdom, particularly at the growth stage, which is seeing rising demand from scalable companies. Enabling fund managers to target this segment accelerates the development of national companies capable of competing regionally and globally, in line with the Kingdom’s ongoing economic transformation under Vision 2030.”
