UAE and India explore ties on sidelines of AI Impact Summit

HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has met with Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit, taking place in New Delhi.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to deepen the strategic partnership between the UAE and India, focusing on enhancing cooperation in key sectors such as economics, technology, and investments in healthcare and insurance, among other areas of mutual interest.

According to the statement, discussions reflected both countries’ shared commitment to advancing sustainable development models that keep pace with the evolving global economy.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of advancing bilateral cooperation by expanding investment and trade partnerships, and strengthening the exchange of expertise, innovation, and knowledge across priority sectors.

Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which is underpinned by strong political, cultural, commercial, energy, and people-to-people ties.

The leaders acknowledged the tremendous progress achieved in bilateral relations in a wide range of sectors such as defense and security, trade and investment, education, and cultural cooperation.

They noted that this year marks the fourth anniversary of the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), a period during which bilateral trade and investment have experienced significant growth.

Furthermore, both leaders commended significant two-way investment flows and encouraged the UAE Sovereign Wealth Funds to continue to invest in the Indian economy.

As per the reports, this collaboration reflects the strong economic ties between the two nations and their peoples in line with their shared long-term development goals, supporting joint efforts to unlock opportunities in emerging and future-focused industries.
