The event, jointly organized by the UAE Embassy in Berlin, ADNOC, XRG, Masdar, and the Germany-UAE Business Council, brought together more than 300 business leaders, policymakers, and senior officials from across Europe.

“In the modern world where energy security is national security, reliable long-term energy partners are more valuable than ever. The UAE is proud to be a partner that Germany and Europe can count on, and we stand ready to accelerate our commitment to supporting their energy security and economic strength.”

Markus Söder, Minister-President of Bavaria, also welcomed the UAE’s strong and long-term commitment to Europe.

$45 billion commitment across Europe

Through ADNOC, XRG, and Masdar, the UAE has committed more than $45.1 billion (€38 billion) in energy and industrial investments across Europe, focusing on diversified supply chains, renewable energy expansion, and industrial collaboration.

Germany remains central to this expanding partnership. UAE energy and industrial investments in Germany already exceed $21.4 billion (€18 billion), with plans to scale this figure to approximately $36 billion (€30 billion) over the coming decade. The cooperation aims to drive innovation, enhance industrial competitiveness, and support sustainable economic growth.

The reception drew a distinguished international gathering, including Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker; Crown Prince Alois Philipp Maria von und zu Liechtenstein; German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche; and German Environment Minister Carsten Schneider. Senior representatives from Albania, Bahrain, and several German states were also in attendance.

The reception follows the UAE visit by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, during which Masdar and ADNOC signed new agreements with RWE aimed at further strengthening Germany’s energy resilience.
