The United Arab Emirates (UAE), represented by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, has taken part in the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum 2025, a major international industry event hosted by the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
The UAE delegation to Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum was headed by Saif Ghobash, Assistant Under Secretary for the Petroleum, Gas and Mineral Resources Sector at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to fostering global ties, advancing sustainable energy practices, and supporting innovation across the global oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
The forum brought together ministers, senior officials, experts, and key industry decision-makers from various countries to discuss the future of the oil and gas sector, explored new opportunities for cooperation between nations, and highlighted the vital role of innovation and advanced technologies in promoting long term sustainability and energy transition.
On the sidelines of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum 2025, Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with the Assistant Under-Secretary for the Petroleum, Gas and Mineral Resources Sector to explore avenues of bilateral cooperation, exchange of expertise in petroleum, gas, and clean energy.
They discussed potential investment opportunities and strategic partnerships aimed at advancing sustainable development, boosting technological innovation, and further strengthening economic and energy relations between the UAE and Tatarstan.
Ghobash pointed out the UAE’s participation in the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum 2025 has underscored the country’s commitment to establishing effective strategic partnerships in the energy sector and broadening cooperation in innovation, digital economy, education and urban planning.
