UAE-based Emaar Properties’ subsidiary Emaar Entertainment has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s GOSI investment Ventures to open and operate its theatre chain Reel Cinemas in the Kingdom.
Emaar Entertainment said in a statement that it has obtained the license to operate Reel Cinemas in Riyadh in December. The first Reel Cinemas will have fourteen screens with cutting-edge cinema technology and a specially designed food and beverage menu.
With an investment of $266 million (SAR1 billion), the expansion plans include twenty new locations to be unveiled within the next five years, including both cinemas and family entertainment centers across the Kingdom.
“The first Reel Cinemas location in Riyadh will feature the best of what Reel Cinemas is bringing to the Kingdom in its rapid growth, such as industry-leading auditorium experiences, excellent dining ideas, and first-class customer service,” as per the company.
