UAE’s SEWGA announces innovative expansions at Zulal Water Plant

The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWGA) has announced the operation of its new production lines in various sizes at the Zulal Water Plant with a new innovative design in response to customer requirements and needs.

According to Mr. Ali Ahmed Ali Al Kindi, Managing Director of the Zulal Water Plant, SEWGA continues to work on improving the Water Plant, enhancing the plant’s competitiveness, and adhering to social responsibility by introducing new sizes to meet customer needs and giving free deliveries.

SEWGA aims to deliver the best services to the entire population of the United Arab Emirates, with the facility producing 5 gallons, 1.5 liters, 500 ml, 330 ml, 200 ml, 150 ml, and 100 ml bottles, as well as paper tissues and sterilizers.

In accordance with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Zulal Water Plant works to provide pure bottled water as a basic and high-quality public service in order to maintain the public’s health and safety and meet their needs and requirements.

SEWGA, as a social responsibility also provides new packages at affordable rates and transporting necessary products to households.

Mr. Al Kindi noted that the Zulal Water Plant has received ISO 9001/2000 accreditation, as well as the Certificate of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), due to the high quality of its products and the use of the best procedures and systems.

The factory also obtained the Emirates Quality Mark, which is issued by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology. The plant products were able to acquire the trust of the population.

Zulal which was established in 1995 as the first government organization to cater clean, pure drinking water for all people of the Emirate is also the only water company providing 100 percent pure underground water straight from the Wells of Hamda.
