Wood, a key player in consulting and engineering, has launched a highly specialist center for technical, strategic and economic energy transition solutions in Abu Dhabi.
The ‘energy transition hub’ is developed to serve clients across the Middle East region, combining the advisory and technical expertise to drive energy diversification and net zero goals.
The hub’s collective of technical experts specialize in carbon advisory, renewable energy, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage and renewable power generation and decarbonization at large.
With a dedicated, in-region advisory and execution team, Wood is set to assist clients to integrate transition solutions including flare and emission reduction and asset emissions reviews.
The announcement follows key focus on driving regional objectives, including UAE Net Zero 2050 and Saudi Vision 2030. This initiative falls in line with Wood’s strategic growth ambitions and addresses the surging demand for sustainable energy solutions, with capital project investment in clean energy in the region anticipated to triple within the next five years.
