Aramex Saudi and ASX eMobility have expanded electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to support the logistics company’s fleet electrification, marking another step in Saudi Arabia’s transition toward sustainable commercial mobility.

The latest deployment includes multiple EV charging units and a Sungrow DC fast charger, which ASX eMobility said is the first of its kind installed in Saudi Arabia. The expanded infrastructure is designed to support Aramex’s growing electric fleet operations.

The collaboration reflects increasing momentum in fleet electrification across the Kingdom, where logistics and commercial operators are adopting integrated charging infrastructure and technology solutions to support electric mobility.

ASX eMobility, the owner and operator of the E-FILL charging network, provides both public EV charging services and dedicated charging solutions for commercial fleets.

The company stated that it combines access to the E-FILL network with private charging infrastructure, coordination with vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) and integrated implementation plans to help fleet operators transition to electric vehicles efficiently while supporting their day-to-day operational requirements.

The partnership with Aramex demonstrates how integrated charging infrastructure can help logistics companies transition from pilot electric vehicle programmes to full-scale fleet operations.

“We have placed a strong focus on fleet electrification as a core part of the wider ecosystem transformation and a key enabler of electric mobility in Saudi Arabia. Recently, we have onboarded multiple fleet operators onto the E-FILL network, developed private charging infrastructure and worked closely with vehicle OEMs. Our team has brought these elements together into a complete ecosystem solution, enabling fleet operators to make a smooth, practical and gradual transition.”

Commercial fleet electrification is expected to play an important role in Saudi Arabia’s mobility transition, with planned routes and predictable operations allowing businesses to deploy electric vehicles in phases while expanding charging infrastructure based on operational needs.

The initiative builds on Aramex’s electric mobility strategy announced on January 15, 2020, when the company began piloting a fully electric vehicle for last-mile delivery operations in Saudi Arabia as part of its long-term fleet electrification plans aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
