Hanan Harhar Al Yafei, a seasoned human resource professional, will take over as the new CEO of Hub71, the tech accelerator based in Abu Dhabi.

Ibrahim Ajami has been serving as the interim CEO of Hub71 since its launch in 2019. He is the head of business at Mubadala. Ms. Al Yafei will be taking over from him and will start this month.

The newly appointed Hub71 CEO has been a part of the Mubadala Investment Company and has held the position of executive director of human capital in the alternative investments and infrastructure platform.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office tweeted that the decision “strengthens the UAE capital’s position as a global hub for innovation. Hub71 was launched as part of Ghadan21 and is now home to over 50 global start-ups”.
