Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company (NWC) has completed water network projects in Al-Shanan Governorate in the Hail Region, expanding water services to the centers of Al-Matarfiyah and the village of Ray Takrib as part of its infrastructure development plans.
The company said the projects are designed to improve the operational efficiency of the water sector, strengthen infrastructure services, conserve water resources and expand network coverage to previously unserved areas. The initiative forms part of NWC’s strategy to enhance water infrastructure while supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to improve sustainability and quality of life.
According to NWC, the completed project includes more than 21 kilometers of water distribution networks, providing services to more than 857 beneficiaries and incorporating 175 new water service connections.
The company said the expanded network is expected to improve the reliability and accessibility of water services for residents in the targeted communities while supporting the efficient management of water resources across the governorate.
NWC added that the project is part of its ongoing infrastructure investment program aimed at expanding water and environmental services across the Kingdom, improving service quality and meeting growing demand in residential communities.
The company has also begun accepting customer requests for new water service connections from residents of Al-Matarfiyah and the village of Ray Takrib through its online portal and digital service channels. Applicants have been advised to submit all required documents and information to complete the connection process.
The latest project is part of NWC’s broader efforts to modernize Saudi Arabia’s water infrastructure, increase service coverage and support sustainable development initiatives aligned with the Kingdom’s long-term economic and social transformation plans under Saudi Vision 2030.
