ADIB’s Amwali to boost customer experiences with chat banking services

UAE’s major Islamic financial institution, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has introduced artificial intelligence (AI) chat bot for its “Amwali” digital bank in order to improve the banking experiences of the customers.

According to the bank, Amwali Chat Banking will provide users with services such as balance inquiries, fund transfers, and transaction history via automated responses. Amwali Chat Banking recognizes Amwali customers and provides them with a simplified set of services to suit their needs.

“With the chat services customers will be able to get support for all their banking needs via WhatsApp and also share their feedback. Chat banking is a convenient banking channel that will be made available in addition to the dedicated Amwali Mobile App,” the bank said in a statement.

With its fresh and unique flavor, Amwali Chat banking has been carefully created with simple and clear language. It will complement ADIB’s digital offering with a host of innovative functions that will help the Bank’s customers take control of their finances from a young age.”

Established in 2021, Established in 2021, Awmali is the world’s first Islamic digital bank for youth aged 8 to 18 years offering instant fully digital account opening. Amwali is part of ADIB’s digital transformation strategy, which was intended to meet growing client preference for interaction through digital channels.

Amwali is getting a lot of traction among young people and is adding more customers than any other bank on a monthly basis, with 65 percent of its customers being UAE nationals aged 12 to 16, according to the statement.
