Amazon Payment Services expands its services to Oman

Amazon Payment Services, a regional leader in digital payments operating across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has now expanded its services to Oman.

Amazon Payment Services’ merchants can now accept online payments from all locally-issued debit cards with OmanNet to expand their reach and attract customers in the Sultanate, while continuing to be able to accept payments from other major globally-issued cards.

OmanNet is a safe, convenient, and reliable payment solution allowing shoppers in the country to conveniently pay with their debit card. OmanNet debit cards comprise 95 percent of all cards in the Sultanate, and with this launch, OmanNet cardholders are now able to shop on thousands of merchant websites enabled for digital payments by Amazon Payment Services.

Amazon Payment Services enables payments on Amazon stores in the MENA region including,, and, in addition to supporting thousands of other merchants and businesses across the region.

Through this launch, Merchants will also enable the OmanNet payment option on the Payment Link invoicing product offered by Amazon Payment Services which allows merchants to collect payments from anywhere online by generating a link that can be easily sent to customers via email or SMS, as per the statement.

The company’s services are available for businesses in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain.
