Bahrain Bourse secures ISO certification for information security

Bahrain Bourse, a self-regulated multi-asset marketplace, has achieved ISO 27001:2013 accreditation, an internationally recognized worldwide information security management standard, after successfully completing all requirements and being officially certified by SIS Certifications.

According to the statement, the certification is an important step in recognizing Bahrain Bourse’s commitment to improving its overall information security and risk management framework.

The achievement demonstrates Bahrain Bourse’s investment in people, processes, and technology to protect the information it holds. It also demonstrates Bahrain Bourse’s continued efforts to detect new risks, assesses their implications, and apply specific information security procedures to minimize any damage to the company, its investors, and stakeholders.

ISO 27001:2013 is a globally renowned information security management standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the world’s largest independent, non-governmental international organization.

“The certification process requires an audit by an accredited certification agency to determine how organizations implement, monitor, maintain, and continuously improve an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in the context of the organization and business operations, including the information technology infrastructure,” as per the reports.
