The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly emphasized its ongoing commitment to overseeing the full implementation of Cabinet decisions.

These decisions relate to a comprehensive package of initiatives designed to improve the financial situation of citizens and ensure the continued delivery of government support and services. These initiatives include adjusting natural gas prices for companies and factories, developing the mechanism for setting fuel prices, and other government measures supporting economic development.

The Inspection Directorate of the Bahrain ministry will significantly intensify monitoring efforts through comprehensive work plans, as well as expanded inspection campaigns and on-site visits across Bahrain’s markets and regions.

These efforts will place particular focus on sectors directly linked to the basic needs of citizens and residents, ensuring that no violations occur, including practices such as price manipulation, unjustified increases, or other forms of commercial misconduct.

The inspection activities will encompass all commercial sectors and retail outlets throughout the Kingdom, leaving no area unchecked to protect consumers and maintain market fairness. The national legislation provides strict deterrent penalties for violators, including substantial financial fines, temporary or permanent closures, administrative deregistration of businesses, and referral to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.

The Bahrain ministry also called on shop owners and commercial establishments to fully comply with regulations and laws governing commercial activity. Business operators are urged not to exploit government initiatives, price adjustments, or support measures as a pretext to raise prices unjustifiably or commit any violations, in order to avoid serious legal consequences.

The Inspection Directorate highlighted the crucial role that consumers play in supporting the Ministry’s monitoring and enforcement efforts. It encouraged citizens and residents to actively report any suspected violations or irregularities in the market through the National Suggestion and Complaints System (Tawasul), emphasizing that public participation is essential for maintaining fair pricing, protecting consumer rights, and ensuring the integrity of commercial practices across the Kingdom.
