Oman-based leading financial institution BankDhofar has partnered with Visit Oman to launch an eCommerce Payment Gateway platform as part of its mission to improve customers’ banking experiences by delivering highly secure payment solutions.
According to the statement, the initiative will enable Visit Oman’s partners to seamlessly purchase flights, accommodation, car rentals, tours, and other Omani travel experiences online and in real-time.
BankDhofar’s eCommerce Payment Gateway comes in line with the bank’s digital transformation roadmap, which aims to provide excellent service to its clients while also strengthening the electronic payment ecosystem and contributing to the digital economy.
The eCommerce Payment Gateway will provide a highly secure, safe, and intelligent eCommerce transaction environment for its customers. Further, the platform will allow Visit Oman’s regional and worldwide travel trade partners to process purchases using their debit or credit cards via its official site and receive rapid confirmation of the transactions.

As per the statement, this will allow the platform to evolve into a dynamic, all-encompassing online marketplace that will seamlessly connect the entire accredited Omani tourism supply chain to the travel trade sector in key international source markets.
