Burjeel Holdings has announced the acquisition of a 100 percent stake in the Specialist Physiotherapy Centre, a premier healthcare facility in Makkah, through its subsidiary, Burjeel KSA.
With a total investment value of $1.7 million (SAR6.5 million), this acquisition aligns with Burjeel’s strategy to broaden its footprint in Saudi Arabia and enhance its capabilities to deliver world-class physiotherapy and rehabilitation services.
Founded in 2017, the Specialist Physiotherapy Centre is known for its advanced treatments, expert team, and exceptional patient care. Over the past two years, it has demonstrated strong growth, achieving a 2.1x increase in revenue to $1 million (SAR3.8 million) from 2021 to 2023.
John Sunil, Group CEO of Burjeel Holdings, commented that, “This strategic acquisition reflects our commitment to enhancing access to world-class healthcare services across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
According to the statement, this Specialist Physiotherapy Centre will be integrated into Burjeel’s PhysioTherabia network, the fastest-growing and largest physiotherapy and wellness network in the Kingdom.
In October, Burjeel Holdings announced the launch of 11 state-of-the-art PhysioTherabia centers, bringing the total to 28 centers as part of its ambitious growth strategy across Saudi Arabia. With these new openings, the Group continues its growth across the Kingdom, making PhysioTherabia the fastest-growing and largest physiotherapy and wellness network in Saudi Arabia.
This expansion reinforces Burjeel’s ongoing commitment to boosting its healthcare presence in key markets across the region and its long-term growth strategy target of opening 60 centers in the Kingdom by 2025. The new centers are distributed in Riyadh, Madina, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Yanbu, Tabouk, Taif, and Al Jubail.
